2005 Fall League Play: MSPSP U18
The team has plans to compete in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP) U18 division A home or away game will be played typically on weekends. Usually on Sundays between the second weekend in September and the last weekend in October and will involve travel to the metro-Detroit area. MSPSP League play MUST be 51% age pure State Cup is U18 ONLY and we must be 51% age pure
NS88 U18 2005-2006 Tournaments and Event(s):
College Search Kickoff Showcase Aug 5th and Aug 6th (Iowa )
Immediately upon forming the team will travel to Iowa for the College Search Kickoff Showcase which is an invitational showcase for youth soccer players who want to play on the college level and are getting ready to enter their junior or senior year in high school in the fall. College Search Kickoff (CSK) is a nationally recognized invitational showcase for youth soccer players getting ready to enter their junior or senior year in high school. USA and Canadian U16, U17 and U18 club and league select teams registered for the current 2004-2005 seasonal year are eligible to apply. Geographic diversity will be considered. Once accepted, teams will be classified as CSK U19. This is a showcase. No teams can advance and no awards are given. Three (3) 90-minute games are guaranteed. Unlimited substitution is allowed to maximize college-scouting exposure for the players. Maximum roster size is 18 players with a limit of three 2005 high school graduates. CSK will be held Aug 4-5 (Girls)

Girls will play Aug 5th and Aug 6th (registration begins Thursday at the field at 12:00 noon. You should register the team 1-2 hr before your first game. Your team does NOT need to be present at registration.

Indoor play: JFK (optional) Winter league activities are strongly encouraged but not required. We recognize that winter offers many other activities for players and travel can be difficult. If there is enough interest I am always open to forming teams.

Winter Training:
Schedules and time permitting. To be announced depending on High Scholl open gyms
This is training to keep us in shape and prepare for high school soccer.

Due to the timing, and graduating Seniors may impact interest and player availability for this event (or similar marquee event) We will discuss as a team after tryouts.
To conclude or final season I would like to go back to USA Cup one more time. In addition I will also have a boys team there too. I am open to other venues as well.
Schwan's USA CUP is a week long event and its the premier youth soccer tournament in America and the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere. With 800 teams competing from almost every state and over 25 countries, Schwan's USA CUP is truly an international event with something for everyone.

Homework and Special Assignments:
The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. By John Maxwell. We will be going thru this book and having assignments and activities.
Service:
An important part of a player's NorthStar experience will be participation in community service activities as a team. The actual community service projects will be selected by a volunteer group of parents and players. These activities will be required of all NS87 players.
Mentoring:
NS88 players will be expected to participate in the Winter NorthStar Instructional League as coach/mentors for younger players unless they are involved in a winter high school sport. TBAYS Jr involvement and NS buddy program
NS88 players will be expected to participate/run and coach in the NorthStar Girls Summer Camp (July 2006)
Practices:
2-3 times per week 2 -3 hrs each. Mondays and Wednesdays at Keystone fields and or other locations as directed by the coach
Uniforms:
Players are required to have the following; NS custom club uniform. NS warm ups, NS gray practice/pre/post-game t-shirts. Our standard travel clothing is white NS polo shirt and kaki pants/shorts. See Team Cost sheet for more information.
Parental Involvement:
All parents will be encouraged to volunteer for various duties that will be needed by the team, NorthStar Soccer Club and TBAYS. A business manager, treasurer, uniform coordinator, travel coordinator, and fund-raising coordinator etc…will be identified after tryouts and as team rosters are complete. The NorthStar Club will provide on-going support and guidance for these volunteers.
Other :
Fund raising and other events as interest and time allow.
